You can find the first question on the plans here : True or false? Test your knowledge now | The Plans

True or false: A pipe organ must be tuned once a year.

The answer is... False!

It is strongly recommended to have a pipe organ serviced twice a year. By doing so, the instrument is tuned and kept in good condition.

Generally performed in the spring, the complete tuning aims to tune each note of each stop, one by one, thus restoring the temperament and the purity of the organ.

In the fall, during the touch-up tuning, the technician only corrects the out-of-tune pipes.

Generally, the temperature is the main cause of off-key notes.
